Get IX Token (IXT)

IXT is Planet IX’s official currency. The home of IXT is the IX.Foundation where you can swap, stake and earn rewards!
There are several ways to get hold of IXT, we recommend the following:

Step 1: Acquire POL Tokens

POL (formerly MATIC) is needed to pay transaction fees on the Polygon network. 

• You can buy POL on a CEX (Centralized Exchange) like Kraken, Binance, Coinbase, or MexC.

Step 2: Transfer POL to Your Wallet

• After purchasing POL on the exchange, withdraw it to your wallet.
• Enter your wallet address (found in MetaMask) and select Polygon (POL) as the network.

Step 3: Connect Your Wallet to a DEX (Decentralized Exchange)

• Go to QuickSwap: Visit a Polygon-based DEX like QuickSwap.
• Connect Your Wallet: Click Connect Wallet and choose MetaMask, or any other wallet you might use.

Step 4: Swap POL for IXT

• In QuickSwap, choose POL as the token you want to swap
• In the second field, search for IXT using IXT Contract address:
  0xe06bd4f5aac8d0aa337d13ec88db6defc6eaeefe
• Enter the amount of POL you want to swap for IXT
• Review the transaction details and click Swap (you’ll pay a small amount of POL as a transaction fee)
• Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

5. Add IXT to Your Wallet

Manually Add IXT to MetaMask (Optional):

• If you don’t see IXT in your wallet after the swap, you may need to add the token manually.
• In MetaMask, click Import Tokens and enter IXT’s token contract address:
• IXT Contract Address: 0x123456... (Please double-check this from a reliable source before use).

6. Check Your Balance

After the swap, your IXT tokens should appear in your wallet. You can now hold or use them as needed. To earn more tokens just by holding them, stake your IXT at IX.Foundation.
